Manchester Public Schools

The goal of the Manchester School Lunch Program is to provide students with attractive, wholesome, nutritious, reasonably priced meals.

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is governed by the federal (United States Department of Agriculture) and state (Department of Education) regulations, and all menus must meet the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

Breakfast is now provide for all elementary school students. Please check with your child's school for serving times.

Students may choose one item from each food group.

Bread: Bagel, Super Donut, Muffin, or Bowl Pack Cereal

Fruit: 4 oz 100% Fruit Juice, ½ cup canned fruit or 1 piece fresh fruit

Milk: Low Fat White, Chocolate, or Skim Milk

Protein: 1 oz individually wrapped cheese, or 1 – 4 oz yogurt

All meals are prepared on site at all Manchester Public Schools. Chef salads, Bagel-yogurt plates, and Deli sandwiches are available daily in addition to the planned hot lunch. To promote healthy choices, students are offered a variety of fresh fruit, canned fruit, 100% fruit juice, a vegetable choice, and fresh baby carrots on a daily basis. A variety of milk choices, including low fat and flavored milk are offered. Water and Ice cream are also available. These items are intended to supplement and not replace meal choices, and we encourage students to choose from the many lunch choices available.

Meal Prices

Elementary: Breakfast $1.00 Lunch $1.75

Reduced Meals: Breakfast $.30 Lunch $.40

The School Lunch Program has a computerized debit system. Students can either pay cash for their meals at the end of the serving line or deduct payment from an established lunch account. The system allows the student to enter his or her student ID# to access their account. Money is deducted from the account. Cashiers will have pre-printed envelopes available to be used when making advanced payments. An online payment system is also available. You may log on to EZSchoolPay.com. and follow prompts. A fee will be charged to your MasterCard account per transaction. All balances as of June 30^th will be carried over to the next school year.
