The Martin School staff, in partnership with parents and the community, strives to create a learning environment that will help all children to be successful. As expressed in our mission statement, Martin families and our staff accept a mutual responsibility for our children's learning. Our families are involved in their children's learning, at home and at school, and as a result our school works better and students are provided with greater opportunities to learn. Our school is welcoming to families, reaches out before problems arise, offers students challenging work and has high expectations for all. We provide a clean and safe learning environment. We make every effort to promote effective two-way communication between our families and our school staff by reducing educational jargon, by breaking down cultural barriers and by encouraging families to stay in touch with our staff. We provide opportunities for families to learn how to help their children succeed in school and for school staff to work with families.
